近日吞下三連敗的尼克傳出好消息，因為背傷缺陣的主控Derrick Rose已經痊癒，將在尼克明日面對溜馬的比賽中歸隊。
「一切都按照著計畫在進行，我只希望傷痛不會再困擾著我，讓我能好好繼續這個賽季。」Rose在20日全程參與球隊練習後如此表示。
Rose並表示他的背部已不會再感到任何不舒服，這不會是個習慣性的傷勢，自己在剩餘的賽季中不會再受到背傷困擾。
「這只是一次性的受傷罷了！在這次受傷之前我完全不會想到會發生這種事，當然在賽季中受傷會讓人很困擾，但這不會讓我持續為它擔心。」Rose如此認為。
Rose是在本月7日出戰熱火時因背部痙攣而提前退場，缺陣2場比賽後12日歸隊出戰湖人，並拿下25分率隊贏球，但在下一場比賽對上太陽時又再度因背傷退場，並缺席了尼克接下來的2場賽事。
能夠健康出賽的Rose無疑是為已吞下三連敗的尼克注入一劑強心針，隊友Kristaps Porzingis便表示：「他（Rose）對我們來說真的很重要！我們非常需要有一個能夠攻擊籃框、為隊友製造機會的球員，這會讓我們打法更具侵略性。」
